Alexis Hyder builds relationships with individuals and institutions to advance the mission and growth of WBUR. Previously, she worked at the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City as the director of strategic business development and the manager of ICIC’s partnership with the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program. Alexis joined Participant Media in Los Angeles to help launch pivot, its television network. She joined the Clinton Health Access Initiative in Liberia to work with the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare on project strategy and execution. At MTV and mtvU, she designed Emmy and Peabody Award-winning public education campaigns in collaboration with leading nonprofits and foundations.
Alexis holds an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and a BA from Wesleyan University. Following college, she was a Coro Fellow in New York. Except for her time in LA, Alexis has avoided car ownership, preferring to walk or run instead.
