Fake News and Alternative Facts: The Role of Universities, Journalism, and Political Communication in Preserving Democracy

Tom Ashbrook, host of On Point, will be a panelist at Emerson College’s “Fake News and Alternative Facts: The Role of Universities, Journalism, and Political Communication in Preserving Democracy,” an important event around issues of media ethics, journalistic responsibility, and civility in political discourse.

Moderated by Janet Wu, former CBS and NBC anchor and reporter, the distinguished panel will also talk about the role universities and colleges play in educating students and citizens in a democratic society.
