Sound and the City

To experience Boston’s newest public art you’ll need to use your ears instead of your eyes.  Join Meghna Chakrabarti, host of Radio Boston, for a lively discussion with artists and creative thinkers about new sound art projects that change the way we experience our city.

The panelists will discuss the recent interest in public art and the thinking behind two innovative sound pieces commissioned for the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum’s current exhibition Listen Hear: The Art of Sound.

Panelists will include:

  • Bree Edwards, Director, Center for the Arts, Northeastern University
  • Bruce Odland, artist
  • Teri Rueb, artist
  • Charles Waldheim, Ruettgers Curator of Landscape, Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

This lecture is free for WBUR members and includes Museum admission but requires a ticket for entry. WBUR members must contact the Box Office to reserve tickets.
